Comfrey growing in abundance over our allotment. It was originally called “knitbone” and people used it to treat: Muscle sprains/pain Joint inflammation Bruises and burns
Comfrey can be used as a herbal remedy for painful muscle and joint conditions, such as low backpain, osteoarthritis, and sprains. It can also be used for bruises. I took a shoulder sling and sewed some comfrey leaves in so I could have a restful sleep while the comfrey did it’s job overnight.
